A Master of Many Arts

Grand Master Fred Parks has earned the highest title given in Korean martial arts. The title of KwanJangNim and is the Testing Committee Chairman for the US National Taekwondo Association and Manager of Team USNTA. He is the International Representative for the Korea Tang Soo Do MooDukKwan Society, a certified Master Instructor of Taekwondo, Hapkido and TangSooDo.

KwanJangNim Parks was one of the first Americans to be appointed to the prestigious Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association World Council in Korea and the World Martial Arts Congress in Beijing, China. Along with teaching Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do to local children and families at the American Dragon Martial Arts Academies he holds the rank of Colonel with C.O.P.S. (Certified Officer Protection Systems) International and is their Florida State Representative. He has received numerous awards for his more than forty years of work in the martial arts community including several Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductions.

As a teacher his areas of specialty are street self-defense with a commonsense approach to dealing with violent attacks, the art of KyukPa which is breaking boards and bricks. In the martial arts industry he is one of the leading experts of Poomse forms scientific self-defense applications.

When he’s not teaching self-defense courses or Taekwondo, he is working as a martial arts ambassador in the community. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Technical Education, an Associate Degree in Nursing and is a licensed real estate agent and investor.

In addition to being a 9th degree Grand Master in TangSooDo MooDukKwan, Grand Master Parks holds a 6th degree black belt in HaeMuKwan Hapkido and a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo. KwanJangNim Parks has gained international recognition as the co-host of the World Martial Arts TV and Radio Shows.
